The Arkos R36S comes preloaded with thousands of classic games across NES, SNES, GBA, GBC, PS1, Sega Genesis, Arcade and more — all stored on the included 64GB SD card.

Does it need WiFi to work?

No. All games run offline from the SD card. Just charge it and play — no account, no internet, no subscriptions.

How long does the battery last?

The R36S has a 3500mAh battery with approximately 6–8 hours of playtime depending on brightness and game type. It charges via USB-C.

Can I add more games?

Yes. The microSD card is swappable — you can load your own ROM files onto any compatible card and slot it in.

What emulators does it support?

It runs ArkOS (Linux-based), which supports RetroArch and a wide range of standalone emulators including PPSSPP (PSP), DraStic (DS), and more.

Are the earbuds compatible with the R36S?

Yes — the Gen Retro Gaming Earbuds use a universal 3.5mm jack and are compatible with the R36S, Nintendo Switch, PC, and any phone or tablet.

Does the carry case fit the R36S?

Yes, the Ultrathink Carry Case is sized specifically for the R36S with a snug foam interior. It also has a mesh pocket for cables and accessories.
